Browning Hi-power made by FN herstel
Sig 228 or glock 19 |
SIG, just bought one. There is one on sale almost new for $499 with 4 neutered mags at sturmgewehr.
OF THOSE ON YOUR LIST
Glock 19. But I don't have one-would like on though..... I carry 1911s |
I'll second that! I'll stick with John Browning and single action triggers. |
I've got a Sig (P239) and a reworked HiPower.
I'd flip a coin and be happy either way. |
Glock 19, no DA/SA and the finish won't come off the slide. Though really either would be fine.
GLOCK 19! I didn't even read the other posts becasue GLOCK is hte ONLY pistol
For me, either the Sig 22x series or any Glock, the venerable P35 Hi-Power was good in its days, but no more. Check out the long & steep feed ramp of a Hi-Power, which can cause misfeeds etc of anything except round nose-type bullets. If you had to feed a blunt or open nose bullet thru that ramp, what are the chances for a mal-function? Probably pretty high. Now look at the short shallow feed ramps of any of the modern 9mm pistols. Plus there are way too many moving parts inside the Hi-Power as compared to the more modern 9s.

get a glock 19c and then buy a 19 regular barrel for it...i shot one the other day with the 19c configuration and it had zero muzzle climb..shot great and they are reliable and cheap! you can switch out the barrels when your not at the range
...........that is Ballistically Fingerprinted for the Feds. I ain't talking about those states that require it. |

Imbroglio, just what the fuck is this 'designated gunsmith' stuff that you keep referring to?
The guy that doesn't really play? |
I would say the Browning, but I actually carry my Glock more.
Yup. |
Ahhhh, yes, the famous Browing (no need for that pesky 'n' in the middle of the name) sNIgle action trigger pull. Sorry, I just couldn't resist.. Oh, I vote for HK USP in 9. |
GLOCK 19. Reliable, accurate, concealable, and intuitively simple to use. It is the finest defensive 9mm available and possibly the best all around handgun period.
Sig 228, its reliable, I'm used to its operations and I assembled one from the frame up so I know it inside and out.
All very nice pistols. I chose the Glock 19 because it is smaller and lighter. It is no target pistol, but it is a very good combat handgun IMHO.
I have the glock 19 and like it really well, but I'd probably choose the Sig
So you're telling me that even though my state d oesn't require it, the federales have balistcally fingerprinted my glock? Don't go tinfoil on me here Larry. |

BHP...
I positively despise Glocks, and have no experience with the Sig... |
I would prefer a Glock 17, but of those choices I would take the 19.
