So I'm maybe a couple weeks from being done with the next book and I have two different covers in mind. Same illustration but different lettering.

That's the one I was leaning towards because I thought the bright lettering would stand out more when people are browsing Amazon and the book covers are about the size of a postage stamp. I kind of like the understated lettering of the first one, but it works better full sized.

I'd say the second one.

But I'd drop the blue shadow on the cover and simplify to 2 fonts.

Second one.

With the way #1 is laid out, there is too much dead space on the left hand side. If there was another figure, maybe kneeling, on the left it would look better.

Pardon if I buck the trend, but I prefer the first one. The second is a little too busy.

And having just two fonts is also a good idea.

The second one, by far. It actually looks like a proper book cover. The first is just letters on an image.
