Yeah, just got done playing capture the flag. Cheaters suck. Or maybe I do and thats why I think everyone is cheating. [;)]
I've played the Operation Flashpoint demo and it is pretty cool but my P3 500 can't play it at full resolution so it is often hard to see targets. I am just going to wait until I upgrade my computer to get it. The concept is very cool though. |

I don't know. Playing it with textures set to medium or high the frame rate was pretty low, and with them set to low, the frame rate was OK but you couldn't tell where the bad guys were at any distance.
Of course your mileage may vary. [:)] I have the demo on a CGW magazine CD, I just don't have the magazine. If you have a slow connection and don't want to download the demo, shoot me an email and I'll mail it to you so you can try it for yourself. |

I am just going to go back and bug that GH until they get the game in.
I was playing DF TKOTH and there was this guy named legionare (something like that in squiggly letters) that was shooting people like crazy from 300 yards away in the foggy temple level. You can't see anything farther than 150 yards on that map so he was blatantly cheating somehow. Oh ya and his rank was GENERAL. |

I think TKOTH has the highest concentration of cheaters and glitchers. That is why I try and stay with CTF and AD. Love the guy with the speed cheat in AD who will have two things destroyed within four seconds of the game starting. Very subtle. I just try to stay away from the cheaters and have fun. It actually doesn't bother me as much as it used to.
Do you ever post on the [url]www.df3.net[/url] board? I have only rarely posted but I lurk there a couple times a week. Lots of bitching and complaining about cheaters and glitchers. |

The game is more addictive than crack, you play on big islands that have many towns and forests and such. You can drive boats, humvee's, jeeps, tanks, helicopters, civilian cars, planes.
The game is soooooooo friggin amazing words can't even describe it. Just finished hosting a few 1.1 games. Can't wait until they release the 1.2 version for those who bought the non-US version.
US version = 1.2 UK & other versions = 1.0 & 1.1 with the Ultimate patch. I'm running an old 3dfx Voodoo3 3000 AGP and a AMD 1.33 Ghz. Runs fine on my system, real smooth at 1024X768. Need to upgrade video card next. |
