It is such a liberal rag.
Not being in the U.S. military, it sure looks good. It sure does away with the attitude that giving more money will fix the problem syndrome. I think it is important to give both money and direction.
The only thing I usually read in TNR is the film review, but I agree with Bush's decisions.
Even Eisenhower warned about the Military Industrial complex.
What the military needs;
1) Less peacekeeping assignments
2) Less New Tech, including missile defense
3) More training funds
4) No more black berets, (the grunts get so jealous)
