is Jordan's King Hussein, I was actually moved when he passed away. His son King Abdullah is really doing a cracking job running the small kingdom, I'm glad to see his public support for us. He's doing his Dad proud, just like GW's doing Papa Bush proud.

Jordan is about the only good Arab state in my book.

I was impressed with the King of Jordan's speaking ability. he sounded...well British. in my opinion he is better at public speaking than George Bush.

Yeah, Jordan is our only HONEST Arab ally (unlike Saudi Arabia, which says they are but then gives money to the terrorists).

I think the Govt. knows that but we need a Staging point and they need our money! Kinda like Business deal!

I feel Jordan falls into that role, we need to use them to reach other Arab States, and they need our money! Business.

Are you people drunk? Hussein ranked right up there with Assad of Syria and Hussein of Iraq. He massacred an entire town of Palestinian refugees because they rebelled against him back in the 1980s. He ruled Jordan as a police state.

As for his wife, she's an American aristocrat. Half-Arab I think, graduated from Princeton. Fits right in with the hypcrisy of Arab aristocracy.

My grandfather arrested him once (way before he was president). Just heard that story a few years ago for the first time.
