Is their cases.  I have two XDs cases (along with the contents that came in them) that I'm converting over to mag carriers.  I need a few more cases now.

The case my Range Officer came in is pretty nice.  I especially liked the " Illegal in California" sticker.

The pistol is pretty good too.

Cases are a dime a dozen.

They are still a shit smelling failure.

Incorrect OP... the only thing Springfield Armory got right from the beginning is below

I'm unclear what the use case is there.  I guess it's one way to store mags.

I'm of the opinion that they got my TRP right too.

Springfield Armory's Garands were a shitshow from the start and were dropped immediately thereafter. Why do you think you can't buy them new anymore? More than one exploded.

You're thinking of the original Springfield Armory - not the commercial entity that stole their name after the armory was shut down in 1968.

I always hated those cases because they were so much bigger than everything else and didn't stack well.

Yeah I think I'd stick to a nice mag pouch or carrier.  Maybe 50 cal cans in a pinch.

Yes Springfield Armory, not the commercial garands.

They've done a lot of things right.  It's their politics they got wrong.

Old good Springfield Armory before new bad Springfield Armory was good because it made guns that won wars not guns that tell you where to grip the gun in giant print

Tell me more about this.  I'd heard the SAI M1 rifles felt like they were made of cheap pot metal, so I bought a real one from CMP.  Some of the SAI ones actually went kaboom?

Me too, in fact I need to get mine down; a friend is wanting to buy my pair of XDM 5.25s.   I feel pretty sure I left all the junky crap (holster, etc) in the cases when I threw them up there.

Was this the problem they were having with firing out of battery because the interruptor bridge in the receiver was cast in the wrong place?   That's all I'm aware of.

As a guy who schleps them around to gun shows I wholeheartedly disagree. The foam the put in the top falls out constantly along with the allen wrenches and extra front sight inserts. PITA.

Springfield cases are the freaking worst. Give me a rock island or sig case any day.

I think that's the problem; all the posts about it I saw were garands in pieces, stock exploded, etc. Sadly all the posts I saw on it were on boards that are long dead, have been radically changed, or hosted on photo sites that no longer exist...
