The news story is very, very sad.  It has to do with more people dying in the Utah mine.

www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D8R2TJ5O0&show_article=1

But this part just made me laugh despite the rest:

"It just feels like a really hard blow to swallow after all we've been through the last week and a half and everyone trying to hope in their own individual way," Huntington Mayor Hilary Gordon said in telephone interview Friday with CNN's "American Morning."

Shane, I would get on to you for being too insensitive, but, I hope she chewed that foot before she swallowed it.

I'm sorry for seeming insensitive.  I'm very sad about the mine collapse.  Last night I was outside talking with neighbors when we saw the life-flight helecopter racing through the canyon towards the mine.

Still, I just couldn't ignore this paragraph when I saw it.  I want to make it clear that I'm not laughing at the mine incident itself.

I know what you mean. It is amazing how stuff like that will just jump out at you.

"Despite misleading and self-serving comments to the contrary, this event and the previous tragedy were not caused by an earthquake of some other act of God. These miners' lives were jeopardized because of the acts of men," Cecil E. Roberts said Friday in a statement from union headquarters in Fairfax, Va.

So is Bush shaking the mountain?

She apparently tried to swallow.

That is, however, a lot to take all at once.

I bet she developed a lump in her throat.

Oh, I'm going to hell.  I'll reserve you a room.

The mine collapsed about 10 or 11 days ago, with 6 miners unaccounted for.  Rescuers have been desperately trying to reach them, but a new cave-in killed three of the rescuers.

It's all very sad, but the mayor's words sort of jumped out at me, so I just had to post them here.  I mean no disrespect to those hurt in this tragedy.

I'm sure they're all dead. They were probably buried under coal when the rest of it collapsed. They need better communications in those mines - like maybe a land line telephone somewhere in there...and some oxygen tanks

She's a politician, which means she is used to taking it on the chin.

Dark Humor has been around since the first Darwin victim. Anyone remember all the jokes going around during the first shuttle accident? NASA...need another seven astronauts...What color are Sally Ride's eyes?...one blue here and one blue there.

Having endured 40+ plus years of Polish jokes, it helps with the healing process. Me, I'm a recovering idiot...I used to be Polish. Found out three years ago that I am adopted and let me tell you the fun my buddies are having with my situation...hence my sig...Faux-Loc (false polock).
