Remember how this was run in the media as a horrible corruption of the Department of Justice?  The only cabinet department named after a virtue?  Oh sure Clinton fired US attorneys too, and more of them, but somehow Bush doing it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO  EVIL!!!!!!!!!!!

Source: No charges in firings of U.S. attorneys

WASHINGTON (AP) –– The Associated
Press
has learned that the Justice
Department
will file no charges after a lengthy investigation into
the Bush
administration
's firing of U.S.
attorneys.

A person close to the case said Wednesday that career
prosecutor Nora
Dannehy
has concluded her two-year investigation into the Bush-era
scandal.

Ms. Dannehy
was investigating whether political considerations played a part in the
firings of U.S.
attorneys who were dismissed in 2006. The firings, coupled with other
allegations that Bush
administration
officials may have misled Congress about the reasons
for the firings, became a distraction for the administration
and contributed to the resignation of Attorney General Alberto
Gonzales.

The AP's source spoke on condition of anonymity because
the Justice
Department
has not announced the closure.

Hey, it turned out to be no big deal after all.  Kind of like everything the press hyperventilated about during the Bush Administration.  But the DOJ letting the New Black Panthers off after successfully prosecuting them?  Well, the press isn't interested in THAT.

The dicksucker liberal media made more noise about Bush's 100% legal firing of US attorneys than obunga's 100% illegal firing of Inspector General Walpin.

When you 'serve at the pleasure of the president' he does not need a reason to fire you.

I loved it when one of the attorney's when on MSNBC and said the administration had every right to fire them in the first place and had no hard feelings about it.

This "scandal" was even more retarded than the Valarie Plame crap.
