I was just wondering if 4 Justices voted to repeal obamacare and 4 Justices voted to pass obamacare as it was written. Then Roberts said he would not pass it as a penalty but then went against all other Justices and voted it was a Tax.
Does this make sense? Was this a 4-4-1 decision?

Well, 4 puppets said, yeah, whatever Obama's wants it, right? One guy actually thought about it and to salve his conscience came up with "it's a tax" so he could arrive at a ruling that wouldn't make Obama scald him in front of congress anymore.

He wrote the opinion, and he's the CJ.

While I don't totally agree with his decision to allow the law to stand, I do think it was rather clever to spank congress on it's over abuse of the commerce clause.

It doesn't matter what it's called, it means more taxes to both parties so that they can do what the hell they want with the money.

More taxes == more power for the politicians.

Add this to the list for the Second Declaration of Independence.

Yeah I can't find it written but they mentioned a few Justices have disagreed on the new interpretation of the Law on Fox News . We know since Kagen helped write the Law she clearly wouldn't agree of the Tax part of the decision.

I'd tend to agree, but plenty of damage can be done through taxation. It's funny to think that the power to tax was granted to congress for the purpose of revenue generation, and that's it. Well, that was a looong time ago.
