They would have been better off making a decisively bad decision, than dithering on a good one.

I have no problem with a 2-party system, as long as at least one party represents my interests. That's exactly what the Tea Party is doing to the Republican party's leadership right now - forcing them to conform to the interests of their members.

As has been stated by various Tea Party spokespeople, the movement isn't a separate party, but rather a mechanism for reforming the current parties.
