I almost stopped watching that show. My friend convinced me to give it a shot through EP.5
After that I think I marathonned the rest of the episodes. Omar really was well played. |

I think the idea behind Omar was showing the duality of man as portrayed by a gangster. He can be a ruthless killer who cares and loves and lives (ad nauseaum) |

Omar was interesting for all the reasons everyone has mentioned, plus I liked that he was a bad man but he lived by a code. I was really bummed the way Omar "left" the show.

I just finished seasons 1 and 2, again. I'll get through season 3 this weekend, if I'm able to find the time.
It is a great show and Omar is one of the better characters. He, Bubbles, and McNulty are definitely my favorites. |
