Such as this one .... "In a future world without Liberals, we'd end up with millions of happy people, improving their lives as each saw fit to accomplish in their own way, with freedom from tyrannical government on all levels that hasn't been seen since the founding of the United States. " |

Wow. Pretty sure my brain is bleeding now. They are going to be pissed when they all have cancer, their home is taking on water, and their shitter is backed up.

Having been stationed on Aircraft Carriers for 5 years i can confidently say "those people don't have a clue of what they're talking about".
Who is going to grind all the rust off every few months? Who is going to paint it every year? Who is going to take care of the engines, power, lights? Food? Do they imagine they are just going to bask on the superstructure all day and discuss Comparative Literature? |

Do they supply gas monitors and SCBAs to the residents?
No way in hell I would trust some third world contractors to clear that vessel. |

Makes more sense to retrofit them as floating server farms tethered out to sea. At least that way they could still be profitable.

I keep thinking about this after reading the first posts.
These would make awesome section 8 housing. Fill them up. Make sure there are convenience stores, liquor stores etc. on board. When they get too rowdy, tow out to sea and scuttle them. I'm kidding of course. |
