I got this truck a couple week ago. All my guys keep telling me I look like one of those old retired rv'ers

What should I do? Add lift and LED light bars and doze?

Link Posted: 6/21/2016 10:13:21 AM EDT
Add more chrome.

You know what they say: Chrome gets you home.
Link Posted: 6/21/2016 10:14:01 AM EDT
Just drive it.
Link Posted: 6/21/2016 10:14:05 AM EDT
Looks good to me as is.

Needs more tobacco juice down the door.

Link Posted: 6/21/2016 10:16:35 AM EDT
Get rid of the chrome on the doors. Get some scratches in the paint.

My truck confirms my manhood. Everyone tells me It looks like an old man drives it.

Unsure of whether to brodoze it out, or get something like a ridgeline to make myself manlier
Link Posted: 6/21/2016 10:17:10 AM EDT
tell them to STFU and get back to work because their brodozer payments ain't gonna pay themselves.
Link Posted: 6/21/2016 10:20:52 AM EDT
Don't let your 'guys' give you shit and get you spending pointless money. I'd be interested to know what they drive.

All "your guys" as in, your employees? If so, tell them that signing their paychecks should be enough validation of your manhood to suit them.

Maybe it isn't the truck. . .
Link Posted: 6/21/2016 10:37:23 AM EDT
It is weird they didn't carry the chrome onto the bed, it makes it look like the bed is off a different truck or something...

I wouldn't worry about it. It is a work truck from the looks of things and a lift kit won't help that.
Link Posted: 6/21/2016 10:38:14 AM EDT
sell those huge ass factory wheels, replace with 16"ers

it'll blow fucking minds

Link Posted: 6/21/2016 10:41:36 AM EDT
Level, put some 305's on those wheels, and tint the windows. Done.
Link Posted: 6/21/2016 10:42:14 AM EDT
old man trucks FTW!

Link Posted: 6/21/2016 10:43:10 AM EDT
Pressure-wash it with some mud. It'll be fine.

Grandpa style to the max:

Get new guys, keep truck

Link Posted: 6/21/2016 10:44:01 AM EDT
Looks awesome to me. My buddy has the same truck and he's 30.

They all prolly drive Chevy cavaliers

You're right.

I thought the same thing. Maybe GMC got too cheap and didnt have enough bailout money to buy the rest of the chrome?
Link Posted: 6/21/2016 10:48:22 AM EDT
Its a GM so you should probably get rid of it.
Link Posted: 6/21/2016 11:02:26 AM EDT
It's the utility of the long box that makes it look 'old guy'.

Utility beats cosmetics, especially with a truck. Fault not found, carry on old-guying.
Link Posted: 6/21/2016 11:08:33 AM EDT
The first thing you need to do is go down to the local Home Despot and have a loader bucket worth of pavers dropped in the bed from 8 feet.

I think they would fall straight through that thing. Thats why I have dump trucks
Link Posted: 6/21/2016 11:13:03 AM EDT
Looks good to me. But then again I'm an old retired guy.
Link Posted: 6/21/2016 11:30:25 AM EDT
Flames would spice it up a bit
Link Posted: 6/21/2016 11:39:24 AM EDT
It's those terrible wheels. Looks like they came off a late 90s Lexus.
Link Posted: 6/21/2016 11:41:19 AM EDT
Add cab lights.

Link Posted: 6/21/2016 11:42:06 AM EDT
I thought you had to have a shell on the bed to be an old man truck?

I miss my 2500 diesel. Half ton trucks are just (barely) glorified cars nowadays IMO. Although, I have to say my '14 Silverado rides really, really nice.

Seems like a not so subtle way to show off your new rig.

It was meant to be more of a LOL after reading that stupid ridgeline thread.
