All this dweeb needed was a fanny pack and a Honda Ridgeline to complement the cargo shorts and white socks - pro tip: don't hop out of your car acting like a squirrely fruitcake and reach frantically into your pockets when an officer pulls you over

Drives to remote location. Yells at cop through the window. Jumps out and yells some more. Reaches for something in his pocket. Given everything that led up to shooting it is hard to imagine a different out come. Totality of the circumstances. Maybe if he had a black He should have read "A Survival Guide: How Not to Get Killed by the Police, Part I" |

Considering the entire incident, it's totally reasonable to assume the officer felt in fear for his safety.
Good shoot. |

Q: how many bullets are fired during a typical gun fight?
A: All of them! |

You truly are a poet OP. I always get a kick out of your video descriptions!

That poor cop...
You can just see the emotion he's feeling when the reality of the situation hits him. I hope he doesn't have lasting effects from what that POS put him through. |

What was in dead guys pocket?
Assuming he was drunk or on drugs. |
|
maybe the last two or three shots were questionable, but certainly not illegal or wrong.
geezer wanted to die I guess. |
|
He never drew.
Just wanted to light a cigarette and was digging for his lighter. Poor fella didn't even get to have his last smoke. |
|
Looks like a suicide to me. Poor cop took a knee when he realized what just happened.
|
|
Cowardly exit; old fart wouldn't go off on his own to a safe place and do himself an injury... instead he acts an ass and does suicide by cop.
I feel bad for the officer who I am sure didn't leave the house that morning intent on ending an old codger. Good shoot. |
|
You can tell the cop is pretty shook up...what a shitty thing to happen being forced into shooting and killing some dumb shit.

Good shoot.
When I saw the cop take a knee after the shoot, I really felt for him. Hope he recovers from any mental trauma he's sure to have experienced from this, he needs to know it wasn't his fault, the scumbag wanted to die. |

No.
Testimony and video from a fatal deputy-involved shooting of an unarmed Navy veteran in August reveals conflicting accounts of what led the deputy to fire his weapon, according to an investigation report released Wednesday. |

For those not local, Harker Heights is outside Ft Hood. Lots of methbilly types and nutjobs.

Good shoot. Too bad the officer had to go through something like this
|
|
|
That's sad.
Officer was in the right, though. Not much else you can say. |

He had 59 years to learn how to act when being a pulled over. He failed his exam.

He was an unarmed vet. Good shoot my ass. View Quote Also a veteran. Read up on Andrew Brannan Just because you are a vet doesn't mean that you can't be a crazy SOB. |

They'd have beat me like a rented mule had I shot some unarmed old goober like that. Good thing for this PO he works in TX., tho I assume Goober's family will be going after him civilly.
Thats a big reason these people do it. They think that getting popped by the Po Po will put a little something under the X-mas tree for the youngins. A few times I had these balloon heads waving objects around like they were guns. So after seeing some of our buddys and co-workers screwed and rail roaded we started figuring if they were running away they were going in the right direction. And why interfere with that? |

Given the lead up and the context of this situation, great shoot!

You'll fit in great around here. You can't exit your vehicle during a traffic stop while rummaging in your pockets and NOT expect to get shot. "Vet" has nothing to do with it. Sorry about your "hero" View Quote |
