I have the prospect of buying a Mauser rifle.  It has a 1920 and 1917 date on the receiver and the half length stock...it is a carbine.

Overall, it is in fair condition, with obvious wear and tear.  Mechanically, it is just fine and needs some cleaning.

How much is this gun worth, and what would be overpriced?  Also, where is the best place to get just about any Mauser part?

Thanx.  stubbs™

Okay...more info:

It has 1920 and 1917 stamped on the receiver...along with "kar 98" on the left side.

The S number is 42XX...and has two little nazi eagles (I am assuming Nazi) stamped on the barrel and receiver.  24 inch barrel.

thanx.
