And while Ohio sleeps the rest of the nation gets to defend itself.

I'm defending myself whether or not Taft votes the bill or not. Are you?

And just for the record...I never said I was carrying illegally. Because I'm not. I wouldn't carry a sidearm even if it gets passed... [;)]

You never know--that appeals court verdict that's hanging over the state might have an effect on Taft. To those types, better to have some law, ANY law allowing them to regulate something than no regulation at all. And if that court rules the way it should, Ohio turns into Vermont on April 10th, unless there is already legislation in place.

A lot of people ARE carrying anyway. But they can ruin your life if you get caught. Is it that hard to make a phone call? Are we to wait till we get a better republican Governor, what are the chances of that? Probably get a Demoncrap next time. The apathy and laziness is overwhelming. In answer to your question, I venture into some of the worst neighborhoods in Cleveland for my job... guess.

I sure hope It gets passed. I go into dangerous neighborhoods to work quite often. The last Republican governor we had wasn't for concealed carry and it looks like this one isn't either. Keep your fingers crossed. CAPITALIST

Unfortunately, the First District Court of Appeals jurisdiction is only Hamilton County, so only Hamilton County gets to be Vermont on April 10th. Check out: http://www.saf.org

HB274 Passed the house today.

65-27. One short of super-majority.

Congats boys! This should encourage you to get all of your friends to crank out letters to the Governor. He's got to know that his political future rides on keeping gunowners happy. Good luck!

If it passes the Senate as easily as it did the house, maybe taft will have to see the light. In any event, it will be close to enough to get an override.... Taft may not get the final say in this one. I think I would rather he grew a pair though....

Final vote was 66 to 27. The Senate is in Recess till the end of April. If we can get two thirds there, that Mellonhead Taft won't have a say in it.
