According to PFF, the best QB in the NFL this season is Dak Prescott.

The second best is the turnover prone Josh Allen that is so broken that his OC needed to be fired. Because reasons.

Brock Purdy is still way out in front by EPA after week 11. If he's still there at the end of the season, it'll be a crime if he doesn't win MVP.

Russ is back. Ish. He's not the top-5 guy he was for years, but he's now in good territory.

Jordan Love has quietly ascended to average.

I think Dak would probably be the MVP frontrunner right now if it wasn’t for those 3 meaningless INTs in the 2nd half of the 49ers blowout.

He keeps them just good enough while being an appealing character, a real player's coach, who does good in the community. But that's where he will always keep the Steelers, "just good enough".

169-97-2 (.634) over 17 seasons, but just 8-9 (.471) in the post season. If you remove his first 2 seasons as a head coach (winning a SB with Cowher's team) he drops to 5-8 in the post season (.385). Tomlin is good enough to get you to the playoffs more often than not (60% the last decade), but you're probably not going to achieve anything while you're there (3-6 the last decade). He hasn't had a playoff win since 2016.

They probably won't get better without a new coach, but there's also a good chance they could end up becoming worse with a new coach. So the Steelers are stuck in the "just good enough" limbo. Which for some team's would be a massive improvement, but for historic winning franchises, it feels like a letdown.

Rooneys are liberals.

Tomlin should have been gone after the loss in Denver. Showed how he cannot change scheme during games.

The Los Angeles Rams football team will collaborate with the One Piece anime for a one-of-a-kind event during their December 3 game against the Cleveland Browns. The NFL team will feature the legendary franchise with digital signage across SoFi Stadium, the team website, and special gifts given to fans on game day.

Fans will get to experience One Piece characters appearing on LED ribbons within the stadium, alongside an original One Piece video will play during the game on the double-sided Infinity Screen.

Finally, the first 10,000 attendees at the game will receive a One Piece clear bag and a One Piece sports towel will be handed out while supplies last.

Is there a free site where you can see defensive players ranked by how many pressures they have this season?

That would be pretty useful because I am of the opinion that sacks are a very antiqued “end-all, be-all” stat for defensive linemen.

There are several players tied for 13th most receiving TDs at 5.

Every other WR/RB/TE in the NFL doesn’t have more receiving TDs than DaRon Bland has Pick 6s (4).

They include:

DeVante Adams
Travis Kelce
DeAndre Hopkins
DK Metcalf
Adam Thielen
Terry McLaurin
TJ Hockenson

So the one all the talking heads use is the PFF's pay to play list.

The reason they all use one source is because there are multiple sources who have different terms for what constitutes a "pressure".

However, for free, you can use PFR. Use their "Advanced Defense" list for 2023: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2023/defense_advanced.htm

You can then sort it by total pressures under Pass Rush ("Prss").

Edit: PFR's "pressures" is the sum of "hurries", knockdowns (QB hits) and sacks

Top 10 from PFR is:
Click To View SpoilerEdit: Hutchinson leads in total pressures, but has the lowest sack count of those top 10. Lots of hurries.

The only thing Purdy is missing is the pure volume stats and that is because he is only 25th in attempts due to the 49ers having such a good ground game/balanced offense.

He has had 5 games this season where he averaged over 10.0 YPA.
Tua has 3. Mahomes and Lamar have 2. Allen and Dak have 1. Burrow, Hurts and Herbert have 0.

To be fair, people said the same thing about the Jets’ prime time games against the Bills (after Rodgers went down) and Chiefs and both of those games came down to the wire.

Having said that, I won’t be watching a Friday night game with a DD spread with a backup QB in a game I don’t care about being called by the worst announcing “A” team in NFL history so best of luck to those brave and bored enough to watch.

I would say to Steelers fans, careful what you wish for. The team comes out and plays hard for Tomlin, as a Cowboys fan I would take Tomlin as my coach in a heartbeat. Pittsburgh fires him, he has another job in about 30 seconds.

Let's put some context to this...

Purdy currently has an EPA/play of .361.

Here are the last several MVPs:

2022 Mahomes - .302
2021 Rodgers - .259
2020 Rodgers - .362
2019 Jackson - .342
2018 Mahomes - .363

Purdy, a Mr. Irrelevant draft pick and relative nobody, is coming out of week 11 with an EPA/play that's basically equal to or greater than every MVP for the last 5 seasons.

Yes, he is surrounded by awesome talent. Yes, he's in a really favorable and forgiving offensive system. But you don't hit these numbers by being a schmoe.

We're getting into the hard part of the season where the weather sucks and lot of guys are playing hurt, so he should drop a bit, but I'm not sure he's receiving the recognition he deserves right now.

You can have tomlin.

After Cowhers players left it has been a steady downward spiral.

Tomlin has no coaching tree and cannot develop players.
For a supposed db/defensive guru he has failed.

Even if he isn't for real, they just need him to ride out this hot streak for another 11 games. He's doing better in his 2nd year than Russell Wilson did when he rode the Seahawks defense and ground game to a SB win.

Travis Kelce responding to a question about Rodgers laying into him on the Pat McAfee show earlier in the season:

"Aaron's always been cool to me. I knew he was trying to have some fun. He's in a situation where Tuesdays are his game days. ... So I get it, man, I've been injured too. ... Who knows what the guy is going through?"

That Tuesday line made me chuckle.

Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier both have 10 game appearances and the exact same number of attempts (125). Tyler is 6th in the NFL in Redzone attempts. Bijan is T23rd.

You will find Bijan in the top right leading group alongside Gibbs, Montgomery, Mostert, etc.
You will find Tyler in the bottom left trailing group with Cam Akers, Kareem Hunt, etc.

Bijan is averaging 4.9 YPA.
Tyler is averaging 3.2 YPA.

Bijan was a top 10 draft pick this year.
Tyler was taken in the 5th round last year.

I was surprised there was no flag.  His teammates say he's not a dirty player and that he has no ill intent.  They say he's just a torpedo and that's just the way he plays.  He's in a bad spot now.  Even if he makes a big change in how he plays the league is going to make a target of him.
