That's just the way a lot of these stats fall. Same thing when Russell Wilson surpassed Tom Brady for wins in X first seasons. Brady only had 3 pass attempts in his first season in 1 game appearance. Then there are the other versions which are in first Y games.

For the above stat in game totals:
Mahomes reached 205 total TDs (reg season) in 81 starts.
Josh Allen has 87 starts.

Herbert at 124 in 59 starts (on pace for 98 starts).
Burrow at 107 in 52 starts (on pace for 100 starts).

These days, in many circumstances, you kind of have to aim for the legs. If you aim higher you might find yourself in a situation in which you have to do something that is LITERALLY physically impossible to do, else incurring a 15 yard personal foul, a possible fine, and a possible suspension.

The Jets were 0 for 11 on third down last night. They are converting 22.9% of their third downs on the season.

That is the lowest of any NFL team in recorded history. Not an exaggeration.

This is a level of offensive ineptitude the league quite literally has never seen before.

According to PFF, the best QB in the NFL this season is Dak Prescott.

The second best is the turnover prone Josh Allen that is so broken that his OC needed to be fired. Because reasons.

Brock Purdy is still way out in front by EPA after week 11. If he's still there at the end of the season, it'll be a crime if he doesn't win MVP.
