I was gonna pay you back as soon as I got home !"

Yes, she seemed almost nonchalant as things rapidly escalated. She was three steps behind him at all times. Geez.  Bravo for the rescuers.

Yeah she pretty much shut him down for good, he wasn't going anywhere, it didn't matter what he was hopped up on. A large woman like here would normally catch all kinds of hell on arfcom but at least she actually got involved. The guy didn't have any John Woo moves but he got the job done. Good on both of them. |

If he felt the gun was working he probably could have shot the guy without repercussion as soon as the officer was clear ( or put the gun to the back of the guys head to be certain of a safe backstop, pavement). |

Did anyone else think it was almost too easy to take the gun?? The guy didn't exactly employ a hap-ki-do technique to get it away from the big dumb shit. Maybe it was the drugs. Meh
The chubby lady really was just awesome. I'm very impressed by her willingness to get involved.

Yep. What gets me is the civ pointed an inop/malf firearm at a BG. Civ said the 'BG pulled the trigger' so civ knew the gun didn't fire. We gotta get him over here and edumacate him. Heck, he didn't even do a TRB. |

It looked to me like the gun failed to fire due to the slide being out of battery. I couldn't tell postively but it sure looked that way. The guy needs a CCW permit. HUGE kudos for getting involved, but dang--counting on luck is just too much of a chance to take.

Just for the record that was on of the most piss poor examples on an LEO trying to take a person into custody I have ever seen.
It makes me wonder if she paid ANY attention at the academy. |

As I said above, she was three steps behind the guy at all times--and he looked like he was in a stupor. She suuuuuuure didn't take charge of the situation. Oddly enough, she didn't seem to get excited either--the whole thing was almost surreal. |
