Alright, now that I have put my flame suit on...

For the first time this campaign season, I am worried.  It could be because the big day is so close.  However, there has been so much bad news just this week.  Video showing that soldiers came across weapons at the depot, FBI investigating Haliburton, etc.

Even if you look at polls favoring Bush over the last two weeks, his lead is eroding.  Call me what you will but I am worried

Question..

Is there ANY sign that ANY likely voter- or anyone OTHER than the Conventional Media that have already been caught lying on Kerry's behalf and thus lost credability- is paying any attention at all to the explosives story OR the FBI investigating Halliburtion?

I have not seen any, anyone else?

Wasn't it Dick Morris who said that the polls this year aren't accurate on their face, because when you got to page 4 they all indicated an OVERWHELMING concern for security, and Bush with an overwhelming lead in that area?

What do you think? Is it just wishful thinking?

There are some places out there that examine the polls carefully.  The horserace blog is one and polipundit.com is another.  Almost all of them seem to skew Democrat.  I always figure you should add 2-3 points to the Republican in every poll.  If you really believe all the media polls our Republican governor would have lost in 2002 as well as Sen. Allard in CO and Sen. Coleman in Minn.

Well here is news for you, local news announced this morning that W would be at SMU in Dallas,TX on Nov. 1.

I'm guessing that if the Republicans feel confident enough to schedule visits to non-battleground states in the day before the election, that their internal numbers show some grim news for Kerry on Nov. 2nd.

A few weeks ago it hit just what is at stake here. I have always known in the back of my mind, but the reality of it all hit me like a mac truck!
I have a hard time watching the news, whether right or left the spin is almost  unbearable.

The Minnesota Republican Party has accused the Minneapolis Red Star Tribune of regularly skewing the polls in favor of the Dems by about 5 - 10 per cent.  I believe that they are right, at least history has shown it to be that way.

I hope you're right, but the problem is that if the Metro Detroit area has enough votes to cancel out the rest of the state!  Just look at how we ended up with that Canadian reject B1t&h for Gov.

Well I doubt Michigan is going to Go Bush... however, I believe Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota will.  Colorado will also go Bush.  New Hampshire and Hawaii are in play, but even if we don't get them and even if Kerry gets Ohio and Pennsylvania... we win.  We picked up 7 electoral votes with reapportionment and we are picking off former Gore states, enough that Ohio may not be the issue.  Wisconsin is and they are doing very well under Bush's economic policies.  Like I said, Ohio or PA would be welcome insurance, but we don't need either to win if we take the blue states we are leading in currently.

Bush wants WI so badly that he made a last minute change in his schedule, and will be here in Milwaukee on MONDAY

The last day before the election, the President will be HERE, and Kerry won't...

I think we'll win this time, if we don't it will be a very 'questionable' election...

I'll make a wild prediction.  I think that most of the "newly registered" voters will not show up at the polls and that those who do "step into the booth" -- even those who are leaning toward Kerry -- will, at the final moment, mark Bush on the ballot.

Results:  60% for Bush 40% for Kerry (plus or minus 5%).

There will be some outcry of foul play but the margin will be undisputable.

Take a shit and get a good night's sleep.

It will look worse over the weekend.  Something about Zogby's sampling methodology especially favors Dems over weekends.  Can't recall what it is.

It'll be close, but most polls have a natural advantage built in for the Dems.  Phoning during the day, only using landlines, weighting based on last year's turnout...

Just get out and vote, everybody!
