This was in El Dorado County Superior Court, California. A county that voted over whelmingly for Bush and to say it's conservative would be an understatement.

There were slightly over 60 prospective jurors for a criminal trial. About evenly split between men and women. Ages ranged from a young woman I'd judge to be early twenties at best to a few very old looking people.

Everyone was white (caucasion for you PC people).

Not one single person of black, hispanic, asian or any other non white persuasion.
And just for the record. No jurors were selected. After our briefing the judge came in and dismissed everyone and thanked them for their time. Apparently the defendant/defense attorney caved in to a plea agreement.

Another prospective juror told me that it is not uncommon since that's kind of a point of no return for a defendant.

Oh, and I get paid $15 for it too. Woohoo!
