The really sad thing is he will never go away. I hope I'm wrong.

No, you're not wrong. Obama will be fighting every single thing Trump tries to do, especially if it impacts what Obama considers "his" legacy programs.
Since Hillary has crashed in flames, possibly due to Democrat insiders friendly to Obama leaking internal e-mails, Obama is now the clear leader of the Democrat party for the foreseeable future.
He is supposedly staying in DC for the benefit of his daughter who remains in school in DC. Probably true, as far as that goes, but it is also a very convenient excuse for him to be "available" for comment on Trump's actions.
We are not done with Obama, by any means.
However, if Trump manages things better than Obama did, and that would not be hard to do, them Obama just might come to be considered a reactionary whiner.
We'll see. But make no mistake: the Dems are setting things up to obstruct Trump on every point possible. This means manipulating RINOs that have more in common with the Dems than with conservatives, or Trump.
Personally, I'll be reasonably content if Obamacare gets radically revised, and privately based, and Trump appoints good candidates to SCOTUS. More than that is icing on the cake, and I'll be very happy for more winning.
