How freaking funny is that? He gave them $800,000 to go out and get votes for him..he help train them, he is one of them and now has to throw them off the govt. train.

I don't think it'll reach him. Weren't the House and Senate bills completely different except for the "de-fund acorn" tag put on the bottom? I'm sure that little line will be stricken out in committee.

BATON ROUGE - Governor Bobby Jindal has issued an executive order cutting off current and future state funding to ACORN following a series of incidents captured on videotape and the subpoena of documents from the group’s national headquarters in New Orleans by the state attorney general's office. The executive order states that, “ACORN’s actions make clear that financial involvement with ACORN is contrary to the public policy of the State of Louisiana and the best interests of its citizens.” The order prohibits all state agencies from entering into future contracts with ACORN or its subsidiaries and directs the agencies to cease all existing funding for ACORN or its subsidiaries unless such funding is already legally obligated. |

Radio News: Atlanta radio station WSB (a Boortz station) announced at 8:00 PM news that the state of Gergia will defund all ACORN activities, and will not allow any ACORN contracts to use state funds next year (fiscal year 2010). Existing state ACORN contracts will expire September 30, and will not be renewed. |

Feliciano, president of the radical Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 1000 District Labor Council 784, has been convicted of possessing child pornography. Even before the kiddie porn charges were laid, Feliciano was already a convicted sex offender, the Sacramento Bee reported last year. The paper reported that according to court records, “Feliciano was convicted in 1993 of lewd or lascivious act with a child under the age of 14 years, which is a felony.” Two SEIU locals, 100 in New Orleans and 880 in Chicago, are ACORN affiliates. The chief organizer of Local 100 is Wade Rathke, who was expelled last year from ACORN for orchestrating an eight-year long coverup of his brother’s embezzlement of nearly $1 million from ACORN. ACORN insider Keith Kelleher is chief organizer of Local 880. Six months ago, ACORN tried to cover up the fact that Locals 100 and 880 are part of the ACORN network. |
