Well that'll shut up those people that say the government taxes everything but the air we breathe.

The air we breathe? That's what we exhale.

Every oxygen breathing animal on earth will be polluting and considered dangerous.

Genocide anyone?

He's got it all worked out. He's Satan he doesn't breathe oxygen.

You are going to be taxed on your CO emissions. There will be a Co2 emissions tax on exercise equipment and beans.
People will quit exercising and putting beans in chili.

How the fuck can you be so much of a dumbass and yet rise so high in government?

I guess nobody ever bothered to tell him that a fuckload of our food comes, directly and indirectly, from CO2.

increasing CO2 emissions are good for humanity.

Yes.

Think about this for a second...

If elected, Obama would be the first president
to group emissions blamed for global warming into a category of pollutants that includes lead

It has been decided (i think by the SCOTUS, i don't have my regular computer) that the EPA is required to regulate CO2 as a greenhouse gas in the Clean Air Act. This was decided in the past year.

Take a deep breath while you can...

ETA: should have read the article, it said just that...

I wonder how long it will be before they go after Dihydrogen Monoxide.

It looks to be horribly dangerous.  Just looks what a quick google search turns up.

Each year, Dihydrogen Monoxide is a known causative component in many thousands of deaths and is a major contributor to millions upon millions of dollars in damage to property and the environment. Some of the known perils of Dihydrogen Monoxide are:

   * Death due to accidental inhalation of DHMO, even in small quantities.
   * Prolonged exposure to solid DHMO causes severe tissue damage.
   * Excessive ingestion produces a number of unpleasant though not typically life-threatening side-effects.
   * DHMO is a major component of acid rain.
   * Gaseous DHMO can cause severe burns.
   * Contributes to soil erosion.
   * Leads to corrosion and oxidation of many metals.
   * Contamination of electrical systems often causes short-circuits.
   * Exposure decreases effectiveness of automobile brakes.
   * Found in biopsies of pre-cancerous tumors and lesions.
   * Given to vicious dogs involved in recent deadly attacks.
   * Often associated with killer cyclones in the U.S. Midwest and elsewhere, and in hurricanes including deadly storms in Florida, New Orleans and other areas of the southeastern U.S.
   * Thermal variations in DHMO are a suspected contributor to the El Nino weather effect.

Personally, I favor ban (or at least a large tax) on oxygen for the rich*.

Ok.

I'm a little more worried about what classifying LEAD as a dangerous pollutant,
is going to mean for the future of our shooting lead hobby.

Nearly every aspect of our industry emits CO2.

Refineries convert CO (carbon monoxide) and steam into CO2 and hydrogen, they also convert coke (think pure carbon) into CO and then CO2 and H2. This same technique is used extensively in fertilizer plants to make ammonia as well.

Food processing plants burn tons of natural gas in ovens and release CO2.

Iron and many metals are fluxed with coke which removes oxygen from the ore and releases vast quanities of CO2.

The bulk of our electricity is from burning fossil fuels... tons of CO2.

Our entire economy is based on conversion from one form  of carbon into inert CO2. Implementing cap and trade during a recession means we are FUCKED.

We're going to give up all of our heavy industry to china, canada and russia who will continue to profit immensely while we piss our money away into wind farms which are long term investments that rely on stable wind patterns which could be subject to change if global warming really is happening.

That little prob has an easy solution for Barry and Michelle.  Nothing to shoot - no lead problems.

The "Tree of Liberty" will have died as trees will be forbidden to exhale carbon dioxide.
