Just now.... disgusting...

ETA: maybe I took it wrong, but it seems like he meant damage to the country, not just to Obama

Fuck O'queerly.

He belongs on MSNBC.

You didn't take it wrong. O'Reilly is just doing his John McCain thing trying to be on both sides.
Link Posted: 11/2/2009 3:44:59 PM EST
The real question is, "How much damage is O'Reilly doing to the conservative cause?"

Lots of folks have the mistaken impression that he is conservative. Not sure why except that he is on Fox and is not always a radical leftist.

And Hannity is not far behind O'Reilly.

O' has been picking on talk radio a lot lately. I guess this is why he got out.

I don't think he is foolish enough to take on Limbaugh for real. Just trying to get some
ratings off of his name.

I have to disagree with you on Hannity; as much as I dislike his condesencion towards most people, he does seem a metric shit-ton more conservative than O'Reilly. Bill needs to get bumped from his spot; Beck is breathing down his neck for sure. The more I read and watch, the more I am convinced the current problems will not be solved peacefully; I believe there will be blood. The vitriol is just too antagonistic, and there are two VERY divergent paths the people of the country seem to want to take. I hope I am wrong, but I do not think I am.

Please boys, just make sure you let me know when it's fo time - I don't wanna be left behind.

O'Reilly is a fuckin tool, and an Obama supporter.

I've watched O'rielly for a long time. I even saw his show the day after the election when he outlined how he was going to handle himself in the future. IE: in a way that he can't be called partisan or automatically against Obama. But was going to be watching like a hawk and reporting misdeeds.
Link Posted: 11/2/2009 4:22:36 PM EST
Bill is an egomaniac of the highest order. He can't stand the fact that he couldn't succeed in talk radio so he trashes those who have. I can feel my IQ dropping and my blood preasure rising every time my wife puts his show on.

Doesn't surprise me he turned on Beck considering Beck gets the same or better ratings at 5pm.

I have never been a big O'Reilly fan. I think he is lashing out because oh my god he may not be number one much longer, and is hopping the middle to try and get more viewers to put off the inevitable.

Getting Radical
by Bill O'Reilly

10/31/2009

humanevents.com

In the beginning, there was the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, a fire-breathing Chicago preacher who believes America is a bad place. The reverend and Barack Obama were friends for 20 years.

Radical Catholic priest Michael Pfleger, another Chicago cleric, was also part of the Obama neighborhood gang. Father Mike was the guy who mocked Hillary Clinton, portraying her as a white woman of entitlement.

Then there was Bill Ayers, a casual acquaintance of Obama's in Chicago. Ayers, a former member of the Weather Underground, is unrepentant to this day about the group's violent activities in the 1960s.

Barack and Michelle Obama were also friends with Rashid Khalidi, a radical professor who routinely condemns Israel. Obama spoke at Khalidi's farewell dinner in Chicago, just before the professor took a job at Columbia University.

After being elected president, Obama appointed Carol Browner as director of the White House Office of Energy and Climate Change Policy. Formerly, Browner was a leader in the Commission for a Sustainable World Society, a group that calls for "global governance." It is an arm of the Socialist International organization.

The president also hired Kevin Jennings as the safe schools czar. Jennings believes that sexual orientation lessons should begin in kindergarten.

And, of course, there is Van Jones. The president brought him into the White House to be the green jobs czar. Unfortunately, Jones has a radical-left resume that includes support for the convicted cop killer Mumia Abu Jamal. He was forced to resign when the folks found out exactly how far out there the man really is.

Judge Edward Chen might be on a par with Jones. On Aug. 7, the president nominated Chen for a lifetime federal judgeship in San Francisco. Chen used to be a staff attorney for the American Civil Liberties Union, and just a few days after the terror attack on 9/11, Chen stated he had a "sickening feeling in (his) stomach about what might happen to race relations and religious tolerance on our own soil.

"One has to wonder whether the seemingly irresistible forces of racism, nativism and scapegoating which has (sic) recurred so often in our history can be effectively restrained."

Sounds a bit like the Rev. Wright, does it not?

So what does all this tell us about Obama? Some conservatives say it indicates that the president is a committed far-left guy. I'm not so sure.

What I am sure about is that the Obama administration hates to be associated with the far left and will hammer anyone who makes the link. If you want the bottom line on the White House/Fox News controversy, that's it.

But it is important to understand the precincts in which the president feels comfortable, and there is no question that he has snuggled up to the far left.

Does that mean he's Che Guevara in disguise? Not necessarily. But it does mean Obama is somewhat out of step with mainstream America.

Hannity isn't on "our" side, He's the embodiment of everything wrong in the GOP that lost us the majority and the presidency. Frankly the only reason he doesn't do more damage than he does is that it's only little old ladies and the choir he preaches to.

Rush and Beck are another matter, O'rielly is a F'n tool.

I used to enjoy O`Reilly. The past three years or so, he's really moved left to embolden the populist streak he has always shown.

That said, I can't believe he would ask this question. At least he first sent the question to a conservative.

In the end, I don't believe that O`Reilly is on any side but his own.

Sometimes when I try to analyze O`Reilly I come to the conclusion that if the logical end sounds crazy he'll take the liberal side but attempt to frame it with moderate language.

I thought the same thing when I first read the post, yet after milling it around I realized that nobody likes him. Maybe wishy-washy, confused 'moderate' fence sitters. The ego maniac stands for nothing but camera time. His Hillary 'interview' was gross. If he was conservative, and not a finger licker, Hillary would have NEVER done an interview with him. Maybe libs like it when he sides with them, but he's deluded if he thinks they actually like him. He tries so hard to be lukewarm that he doesn't appeal to anyone. He needs to hop over to his kindred spirits' network at MSNBC.

Beck is doing a lot of damage with his 'never vote for anyone that you don't agree with 100%' and 'we're better off with Obama than with McCain' crap.

He's dividing conservatives, which in the end is going to make it a lot easier for the Democrats to hang onto power. When the Beck listeners sit home in 2010 because not everyone on the ballot is a "true conservative" the Dems will claim yet another mandate and push their agenda even harder.

That pretty much sums it up.

He is populist. Which means he will be for or against whatever as long as the run of the mill working class crowd is on his side.

O'Reilly is a blowhard populist douchebag.

He has never convincingly demonstrated that he supports freedom.

O'Reily = Independent
Hannity = Republican
Beck = Libertarian

Not a big surprise.

O'Rielly switched sides after he had Obama on his show. I don't know what happened, but he developed a man-crush on him immediately afterwards.

I've never taken Glenn Beck seriously. Sometimes I wonder if he takes himself seriously.

Beck was right about McCain: His loss to Obama made people stand up and listen to their own beliefs. McCain is a Windsock Republican, he points in the direction of political winds. McCain would have kept the Tea Party people silent, because we would have listened to the people who said McCain wouldn't sell us out. Well, I wouldn't have, but I knew McCain was of little value to the GOP. Anyone who can be seriously considered by Kerry for a VP slot and believes that Amnesty For Illegals is a great idea can go screw themselves, Veteran or not. He has done nothing but serve as the antithesis of the man he replaced, Barry Goldwater.

And Beck isn't telling people to not vote for anything but a 100% agreed-with politiican, he's telling people to find core principles that are their bedrock beliefs and to stick to them when voting. Everyone that has any backbone has principles that they will not break. And some of us are bold enough to seek that intestinal fortitude in our representatives, BECAUSE THEY REPRESENT US.

OReilly plays it down the middle with populist elements.

Generally he kicks liberals in the balls more than the right. I like his show.

O'Reilly tries too hard to play it 'right down the middle', to be 'Fair and Balanced'. This is the 'niche' he has carved out for himself.

As such he appears to be 'wishy-washy' or even 'soft' on Nobama; those of us who are more conservative or even 'hard line' often see him as soft. Far left idiots will see him as being too conservative. It is often a mystery to me how his ratings are so high since he doesn't really seem to appeal to either camp.

Truth be told I'll bet his ratings have started to take a 'noticeable' drop since Glenn Beck has come on the scene, although you'll never hear O'Reilly say so. I've even noticed that his 'jabs' at Beck (when Beck comes on the Factor) are a little sharper, and it almost sounds as if O'Reilly stops just short of calling Beck a loon. Anyone else noticed that???

Actually, he does. He's much more concerned with ratings than being *right*. His interview with zero proved to me once and for all that he's a gutless little man hellbent on beating Glenn in ratings.

That's why he denigrates Glenn every chance he gets when Glenn's on his show.

Agree. Hannity is on our side. O'Reilly is on O'Reilly's side.

Hannity & Rush are on America's side...

Mentioning or advocating 'revolution' on their shows will go over like a lead balloon...

Beck? Beck is still trying to figure out where he lands, but it's most likely that he will go full-Alex-Jones-retard and stay there, rather than just wandering over, and floating back to sanity a show or two later....

And yes, Bill is on Bill's side... Wherever the wind blows...

Watch GB this Friday. Both Beck and O'Really mentioned it last night.

This is why Fox brought in Beck, so they could reposition O'Reilly as the independent. It's all a media game.
