a 20 rounder is heavy. (im used to ar 20rd)

a 50 would need its own carry strap.

No, you can't find them for less. That's actually a pretty decent price. I've seen them go for $1200 or more.

That is, if it's original factory HK.

Not practical. I'm pretty sure you can buy four new Beta-C mags for that price (average $250 a pop).

Price List

Who the F*ck PAYS 1000+ for a freaking MAG! you can almost buy the damn rifle for that!

People with machineguns.

Last I checked, transferrable G3's were going for $12K.

Sure beats a 20-round mag, when you don't have a belt-fed HK-21.

G3's are a real hand-full in full-auto, bet the weight of this thing fully-loaded would tame it - for a while. I could just see the shooter fighting to gain control as the mag empties and the gun gets lighter.

Beta-C's are for .223 and are not rare at all.

The above mentioned is for .308 and are far-and-few between, especially an LE-only marked HK-factory product.

If you think that's expensive, price one of the 85-round .308 saddle-drums with feed-towers for G3, M14, and FAL.

I saw some made from a converted doppentrommel. The drum was inverted and had a feed tower like a BETA. $875 (IIRC) Needed a special winder to use it. Still too much

Weld three together and you got the drum beat - could double as a mono-pod.
