I just heard on FNC that another tropical storm is forming, and should be a hurricane by next week.

Thanks for the sympathy. We'll be thinking the same of you in a couple of months while we're still at the beach.

Hurricane Alicia hit Galveston back in 1983.

It's taking a bite out of Cuba's ass right now, and ruining vacations in Cozumel.

Supposed to turn North, North East as soon as it clears the straight between Mexico and Cuba. Predictions are it will hit anywhere from eastern LA to the Florida panhandle. Buckle up!

I wont trust it until it passes me.
Charley turned and got us at the last minute.
Good luck to those that will get hit by it.

Holy Christ!
Look at how big the system actually is, how far the swirl pattern in the clouds extends.
It is a pretentious lot who say we are screwing up the environment, when the Earth gets tired of us it will shrug us off like a mosquito and go about its business.
There won't be a discernable trace of us a couple of thousand years later, just an eyeblink in cosmological terms.

Yes, I am posting drunk.

Better to suffer the effects of hurricanes than Illinois politics
