I'm thinking about taking my first fishing trip to Canada in a couple of weeks.  I've been told that Lac Seul is a good place to go, anybody fished there before, what type of experience did you have?  Are there any other lakes fairly close to Minnesota that I should look at?

Like I mentioned this will bemy first trip to Canada.  Is there anything special I should know before going?  We would probably be camping.  What type of camping regulations do they have?  Do I buy my fishing license once I get there?  Is it better to just use a visa to pay for stuff or should I cash it in before I go (where do I get a better exchange rate?).

I would appreciate any other input you could give me.  Thanks a lot for the help.

My father and I used to fish "Lake of the Woods" all the time, right north of the MN border.

I can't even explain it with words.
Go there.

Go for it you won't be sorry. I'll be up there in a little over a month. The smaller lakes that you have to fly into offer some of the best fishing you have ever seen.
