I just found out what my sister is doing her thesis on for her doctorate degree in psychology. It concerns alternative schools.

When I was a kid, you were sent to alternative school for a few days instead of being suspended. However, apparently up in the Illinois area it's a place where they go for the whole year if they're problem kids.

If anyone has knowledge of the system, preferably works in the system please post here so I can follow up with a question.

I would say e-mail me but I've shut it down for the time being due to so many people trying to send me that virus!
