Does anyone else love them? What is your favorite flavor? TT

We're into the low-rent "Pop-Ice" brand here in Hicksville. Blue. Definitely blue. These play a key role in our marriage, actually. The first year we were married, we lived in a little house with only a weak window unit. In the summer, we would hang out in the bedroom eating Pop-Ice by the A/C. We always look back fondly on "the salad days" as H.I. McDonough would say.

DAMN! They still make them? I haven't had one since I was a kid. Blue was choice.

I just finished an Alexander the Grape. Delicious. [:D]

I liked blue too, but I had to boycott blue otterpops because the otter on the wrapper is clearly French, with a beret and cowardly striped shirt.

Just saw Italian Ice in a tube at the Target yesterday...drool...

mmm... otter pops... cool, refreshing goodness... for me the official start of summer is when i buy the first case of otter popps. It's all about Alexander the Grape and Louie Bloo Rasberry. I am also partial to Little Orphan Orange, and Strawberry Short Kook. Sir Isaak Lime and Poncho Punch are usually reserved for guests, since i like them the least. And if troy so much as touches my otter pops he's a dead man.

Blue.... I could plow through an entire box given the chance!

I have a case full of Fla-Vor-Ice here, same stuff I think.

You've dredged up some memories! I haven't had one since I was ten, back in '75! I may have to make a trip to the 24 hour grocery store now! As for freezing them...well, there's always liquid nitrogen for those of us who are impatient...! CJ

Yeah, by the way, thanks for nothing, TitaniumT! Last light after reading and responding to this post, I had to down about a dozen of these bad boys. This morning I woke up with sugar-funkified breath and a purple tongue. Nice. Scared the hell out of my kids. Great way to start Father's Day.

We have the Flavor-ice ones here....my 20 month old son, for the past 2 summers, loves them. If mom or dad pull one out to eat without one for him, we get a very hurt look and then BIG tears....he is happy as a clam to sit on my lap and eat 2 or 3....ahhhh a 20 month old on a sugar high.....

Never had one.

The pop ice is also the thing around here. What is really nice is when you have a load of them to deliver to a distribution center, and part gets refused. The manufacturer didn't shrink wrap a load properly one time and we had a skid collapse. To get the stuff back to the terminal, we had to short another load and to recup the cost, the boss sold them for 25 cents a case. I bought $10 worth. It took us 4 years to eat them all. (well, almost, I am down to 3 boxes now) I like the blue and the strawberry.

Oh yeah, just in time for the first really hot day here in MN. I'd eat a whole box if allowed to.
