Ok, I know its early, but now is the time when we have to beg borrow and steal to get time off for the event. I am taking the tiny cessna down, and camping with her and my finacee. Anyone else going, thinking of going, or need to get talked into going. Its a great event, And i think we might be in the minority, those that actually have guns and planes. That means maybe an AR15.com beer drinking event, or social. Thoughts?

For those that know nothing about me, I am a Army Aviatior. Course currently i am in the desert, yet again, but will be back in May. I think that it would be really cool to bring all military, or military type camping gear, and toss up a nice AR15.com banner for a meeting area in the GAC (general aviation camping) area.  I am only bringing a camping stove, or two, but we could score a grill, get some beer, and talk about planes, guns, and other man stuff (or woman stuff, no sexism allowed). I for one would love to meet some of you fine folks.

Don't think I'm going to make it this year... I've been going since the early-80's, and have been the last two years, but I think I'm stuck on a family trip this year instead.

Rebuild in Colorado was complete several months ago. It spent several months in paint shop at Hooks in Hou then to LSFM recently.

Sorry, I'm never camping in the North 40 again.

There's a great fish restaurant about 2/3 the way to Fondulac, and another excellent meeting place is the Fox River Brewery in Oshkosh.

Are you referring to Wendt's on the Lake?  If so, I've been there a few times for their perch feed.  Another great place to stay is the seaplane base, it's usually much cooler there since it's on the water and they have a shuttle to get you back and forth.

Just because I love good gossip - what's wrong with the North 40?
