Today, GWB has signed the Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography and Marketing Act of 2003 (CAN-SPAM Act). Now what kind of joker comes up with names like that just so the law sounds cute and witty?

Well, you see, first they have a large, horribly expensive taxpayer-funded study (translation:  they have dinner at a really expensive restaurant with their friends)

Then they have a taxpayer-funded think-tank (Translation:  Post-Dinner drinks at some pub)

Then, while hung-over the next morning, some staffer on a deadline says "how about this" and they go along with it just to make the staffer go away and leave them and their headache alone.

It's also a complete lie.

The act was pretty much written by the ones creating the spam in the first places.  Overules some states very tough laws with ones that give the spammers a pretty much free hand to spam the crap out of us.

It's a total bullshit law that will only make your inbox and filters explode with the onslaught that is going to be coming very shortly.

Saddam liked SPAM too.  He had some in his spider hole.  The amazing thing is that he is supposed to be muslim.  SPAM IS PORK. LOL

Actually the name may be construted as something completely opposite.

"CAN-SPAM Act.  I can spam now?  Hey, thanks"
