This really doesn't seem that bad!  I mean, they can track what I've bought with my credit card, just as easily as they could my fingerprints.  They have my fingerprints from military service and CCW anyway!

Yes, and before you know it, it is mandatory.  Then the track all your purchases, patterns of buying.

You think they don't do this already with your credit card?  My son bought a scope and mount online while visiting here, and first thing he knows, bank security calls him, it is not his usual pattern of buying, they want to know if that was him or not.

Well, if your own bank is tracking your credit card buying, where and what, soon the government could be doing the same.  Then with a universal identifier for each and every purchase... well, you figure it out.

Then look at Chicago Mayor Daley's Nazis cross referencing FOID cards, gun registrations, etc.

"Just because you're paranoid, it doesn't mean they aren't out to get you."

Nothing here demands that you pay in this manner...and you know what?  The moment they do - you take your business somewhere else in the marketplace.  That's why capitalism is wonderful.  Someone sees a need and then provides the service.  Those that don't provide the service that their customers desire soon see their customers dissappear.

It's not going to happen. To easy to circumvent.

It figures they'd try and sell it to Aggies first!  LOL!

All change is good, don't you know? [;D]

Although, there was the younger woman trying to explain identity theft to her mom.

I just heard on the news last night that a storage facility threw medical records for about 200 patients in the trash because the medical office didn't pay their storage bill.  Privacy issues?

Ironic how things are unfolding right before our very eyes...

Just like God's word said it would. Take an evening and read the book of Revelations sometime. You might be surprised how familiar all the predictions sound. [;)]

Read between the lines.

The fingerprint is obviously just for pre-ban groceries.

Store owners used to give you credit because they knew your face and reputation for paying.  The machine knows you now.  Not a big deal if it remains a choice.  Course, missing digits might become a painful issue.

LOL.  It's not their fault.  It's mine.  I've apparently been very ham-handed in trying to post a new one.

Credit/Identity/Document Security is incredibly poor these days and in my professional experience it is because Consumers are uneducated as to how common it is and they are unaware of how to help prevent it.

So, give us a tutorial.  Seriously, start a new thread on credit card security or what have you.  I for one would LOVE to see it.

Pretty please?!!?

And I promise, it won't be *quite* as messy as that "show your tac gear" thread of a while back!
