But pricing around here is absolutely ridiculous.

Got went to the local gun shop. Place was packed as usual. Managed to squirm my way over to the pistol case. I will be buying a Springfield Mil Spec in a month or two and just wanted to see what their pricing was. No Mil Spec in stock, but they had a GI in the case. Price tag listed the paltry sum of $689.

This shop has always been a little high, but holy shit.

Looks like I'll be buying on line and having one shipped to my favorite dealer even though he is 40 minutes away from where I live. Even with shipping and a $50 transfer fee, I'll still be coming out way ahead.

Only schlubs and noobs pay gun store sticker prices. Thrifty ARFCOMers make friends with an FFL, buy elsewhere, and have their buys transferred.

Wish I had mountains, I'd trade these miles of beachline for one single mountain.
