Got word at our shift briefing that the son of a CO and fellow ERT member passed away on Thursday.
He was mentally handicapped and the center of his fathers universe. He had a seizure and never came out of it. His father was away on team training..he is taking it very very hard. All his dad talked about was what the 2 of them were going to do after he retired this year. He was going to buy a 6 wheel atv with a heated cab so he could take his son in the woods. He had his cottage almost winterized because his son loved the beach and they were going to sell the house and move to the cottage. Our Emergency Response Team is going to provide an honor guard for his sons funeral Monday! Life truely sucks sometimes.  For those that are so inclined..could you remember George and his son in your prayers. Thanks. |

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers for George and his family.
Yesterday was a very sad day. Parents aren't suppose to bury their children! Between our IERT and CO's we filled half the church..that is the kind of respect he has. |
