While must of us make fun of airsoft and their gear… I recently played around with a item that was pretty interesting.

While the launcher was pretty neat, the kicker was the grenade that it shoots.  



They are loaded with 24 (.43) paintball, and charge with standard CO2.  I clocked paintball with a crono at 290fps, and I was hitting a IPSC target with all 24 balls at 18ft.  The real fun part was that you can get rubber-ball for this thing… so instead of paintball, you throw out solid rubber ball.  And they have single launchers to mount under AR-platform.  



Give you an idea… at 260fps, a regular paintball will break skin and leave a nice swell.    While I don’t suggest using it on humans … hate to think what a facial area blast of 24 rubber ball will do to someone's head.  But it sure would work great on the local stray cat.

Nothin for nothin -- I love paintball -- but why are you posting this over here?  Things may UGLY when the right people read this...

 BTW - I only have skin breaks from 260 FPS when the guy is inside of 12 feet.  If its at normal range -- 30' on average, then the only way you'll get skin breaks is because he's shooting hot.

Nice looking. Too bad they cost just as much as a real AR.
