I just find it amusing that suddenly, over the last two weeks, Russia has become the boogeyman, Putin the anti-Christ, and how dare Trump nominate anyone with Russian ties?  Like, what happened in the last two weeks?  Gee, I wonder.....

Yea Obama was a real badass when it came to the Russians, I mean he made that great deal with removing the missile defense system in exchange for nothing.

That is actually correct. If you don't think so or are in the business of making excuses to view it otherwise you
may need to take some time to reflect on your morals and your belief in American ideals.
This statement works with other countries controlled by dictators as well.

I find it just as amazing that suddenly, over the last 6-8 months, Russia has become the greatest thing since sliced bread in the GOP, Putin should be trusted and even worked with, and Wikileaks' lies about U.S. servicemen and publishing of purloined U.S. documents have been forgiven.

It is very easy to admire a man who fights for his country when your own president lays down and takes it up the ass from anyone who disagrees with the American way.

We should be friends with Russia, because, uh, because cheap ammo.

Georgia? Crimea? Ukraine? Whatever.  I mean, would we really miss a few Baltic states?  Seems like a fair trade for cheap ammo and AK parts kits.

.  Where was Obama stopping this murderer?  When he was kissing Medved's ass? Uranium deal? Reset?  Crimea? Georgia? We all know who Russia is, forgive us if we're just a little cynical when all of a sudden our communist party hates their communist party

Cozying up to Russia to try and build a more peaceful world is fine. It is a good goal. But I would never trust Russia. We don't need to be antagonistic towards Russia, but we better be strong enough and scary enough to discourage them from fucking with us or our interests. I think we should work with Russia where our interests intersect, but sleep with one eye open when you get into bed with Russia and always make sure that they know that fucking with us is not in their best interests.

The reason they're such a pain in the ass today is because we have been neither strong nor scary for the last 8 years.

Exactly. Be friendly, but always let it be known that we are the top dog and now won't be putting up with games. The bend over and take it in the ass and whimper into the pillow guy is leaving.

I don't admire Putin.  I think he's a shifty KGB bastard.  I just think it's funny that suddenly he's a major problem simply because Hilldawg last, when he wasn't a problem before.  Remember when Obama laughed off Romney for saying Russia was the biggest threat to the US?  Laughed his ass right off.

Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is laughing AT Hillary and the U.S.'s inept foreign policy that is symbolized by a cheap plastic reset button purchased from Staples. She might as well ask him to pull her finger.

He's thinking, "What a bunch of chumps."

Every piece of this. Saying "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" is great, and it's true, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they are somebody you share more than one commonality with. We both disliked Obama, but that doesn't mean that we have similar visions for the future of this world. MAGA, bitches....MAFGA.

See, I like those gifs as much as the next guy, and I like Putin more than I ever liked Obama, but it's only because he has balls. It has nothing to do with his goals and tenets. He's a cool guy. I could honestly say that about my worst enemy, the moment before I blow his brains out the back of his skull. Just because you respect someone doesn't mean that you don't despise them.
