I have a Pontiac G6, and one of the settings it to change the speedometer from MPH to KMPH, its cool, freaked the wife out the other day, I turned it to KMPH and started to give it the gas on the turnpike, hit 140+ KMPH and she looked over to tell me to slow down and totally freaked out. Then she relaized we really werent going that fast and that I had the car in metric mode. I like this becasue metric is better, and I hate dial in dial, it gets too clutered to look nice. And I can change from Standard to Metric on the fly.

Anyway, I was thinking about how everthing in the states comes in 5+ languages from McDs menus (also in braille and pictures only), DMV and voting cars, credit card applications, and the signs for the bathroom at most stores. Now other than the braille, because that is a disability, I am generally pissed about all other other languages, but that is another rant.

My thing is, why not put all speed limit signs in KMPH and MPH, then we can accomidate everyone, and not offend anyone... Likely because Americans would read the 125 KMPH sign and just do 125 MPH, and be in some serious trouble.

LOL, how about a picture speed limit sign, for all those drivers that still cant read...

It would be a needless expense with no benefit derived.  Agriculture exchange students drive what ever speed they want.

Well, it certainly would be cheap to replace all the speed limit signage... wait, no it wouldn't.
