Last night the GF and I went to go see V For Vendetta (Which was pretty good). However, I was shocked to see all the "new" movies that are out. 4 out of 6 of the posters in the lobby I glanced at were sequels and remakes.

Then, the previews started:
1. Superman (Remake)
2. Posidon (Remake of the Posidon Adventure)
3. X-Men III (Sequel)
4. Fast & The Furious: Tokyo Drift (Sequel)

So all the previews, literally were remakes and sequels. I mean can't we get some new, original ideas that don't involve gay cowboys?

Literature will tell you there haven't been any new storylines since before Shakespeare.

Just as long as it sounds good, I will see sequels.

Back when I was a game reviewer I spoke with a Konami executive who replied to my statement of how much I hated fighting games (in that they're all the same stupid thing over and over and over again) with: "I know. I hate them, too, but people want the same thing over and over again."
