Which one are you?

1st rule of the Ninja code, is I am not supposed to talk about it. Sorry I can not tell you.

They're basically the same thing. Haven't read much on feudal Japan have you? I'm currently a Ronin. Want to be a Samurai again one day. Working on it. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

Ninja would be a better fit in this era. A life of service is seldom what is cracked up to be.

Gee... I wonder what I would pick
A poor farmer by day, that has nothing better to do, and rages at "the man" for keeping them down. Starts improvising with farming tools and sneaks around at night dressed up as a monk or traveler to spy on people. Hollywood greatly exaggerates their ability and their worth to daimyo in ancient Japan. A warrior who is absolutely loyal, so loyal they are willing to die for absolutely no reason then because their master told them they have to. Oh yeah, they have been bred to fight well since birth, and they can literally kill peasants and such for disrespecting them at any time. So whats it gonna be, a farmer that plays dress up... or a guy that has to die whenever their daimyo feels they have to? |

Fuck'n Ninja! I still have a couple rusty stars I bought through mail order in 82 and waited 2 months for.

Ninja, their outfits are better. Real Ninja never wore those all black or all charcoal type suits. Sorry to break to you. Most of the time they just disguised themselves as a "common person" so they wouldnt arouse suspicion. They were spies the vast majority of the time afterall. Ninja were portrayed as all-black clad figures in Noh theatre... then mainstream movies and such just copied off that. Its not reality. |
|
A masterless samurai. Can carry a sword(or 2) in public and can cut down any low life peasent who doesn't know their place. |
|
Ninja. Samurai seem to be the JBT of the 15th century. They have to kill themselves because their master says so. Don't enjoy being someone else's property that much.

Not only where they spies but more appropriate term we use today would be thug as they did not live by the code that the true warriors of the culture lived and died by. |

They're basically the same thing. NOT true. In fact, they are almost polar opposites. The Samurai lived by a code of honor that valued hand-to-hand, face-to-face combat; the ninja operates via stealth. The samurai valued his sword above all else; the ninja viewed it as nothing more than a tool. |

A dedicated man of a service or a murderous, spying lowlife? Tough choice.

ninja = backstabbing, gutless pussies who do shit work for anyone who will pay them ...
no honor dipshits ... at least all the ones i've had to deal with |
|
Where did this idea that Ninja's would work for anyone thing come from? They were loyal to their clans just like the Samurai were. You guys fundamentally misunderstand who and what both were. Samurai = regular military officers and men, Ninja = recon, intel, special forces. Both were good at their respective jobs, but they each had a specific purpose.
