BUSHMASTER FIREARMS HONORS THE SUNSET OF THE AWB

With the climate Bushmaster has been dealing with lately, I give them MAJOR credit for this move.

I authored a thread last night asking about the deafening silence from AR makers regarding newly available configurations.....

AWB Is Dead...Why The Silence From The AR Makers??

The whining about "STFU, and keep a low profile" "Don't give the anti's any thing to work with" "We'll be viewed as having gun lust". What BULLSHIT. What TOTAL bullshit.

Thank god Bushmaster doesn't subscribe to the same school of low expectations and fear that some around here do. They will be getting my business for my next rifle...PERIOD. As for the rest of you, keep thinking about your new rights in the shadow of FEAR of the anti reaction and you have LOST.

Lets see how many others follow Bushmasters lead. My bet, the line will be a short one.

Bushmaster is one of the few manufacturers that is 100% on the side of the Constitution. I don't think Bushy would sell out the 2nd Amendment just to make a buck (or win a .gov contract).

They need to make some money to pay the DC sniper judgement settlement?

I may need more Bushy lowers.

No one is saying that Armalite doen't have balls. But bushy has their site up and ready to go, Armalite doens't yet. When I can look at collapsible stocks and FH's on Armalites rifles, on thier site, I will be jumping to author a similar thread about them.

Both Armalite & Bushmaster have balls. However, I give Armalite the nod since they have already ran ads before the ban died.

And the same for Para Ordinance, who advertised a coupon for a free hi-cap mag if the ban sunset. Pretty damn cool on their part.

Remember the Alamo, and God Bless Texas...

Yeah...nothing has changed. They sold those before the ban for the same price. The only thing that has changed, is that we can legally put them on all of our rifles now. What they need to do, is market their items at reasonable prices.

This is nothing more than marketing technique. It would be different if they didn't sell those items before, but that's just not the case. They've changed nothing on their end, except to offer put a birdcage and collapsable stock on your rifle for an arm and a leg.

There was no judgement. Bushy and their insurance company waved some money at the plainiffs and they fell over themselves taking it. Completely out of court settlement.

If they went to court a few anti's would lie big just to get on the jury and then talk to larry king about it.

Kudos to Bushmaster but let's not forget that Armalite had the pre-order program and handed out vouchers with new rifle purchases for a flash hider months and months ago.

Kudos to both Armalite and Bushmaster!

It wasn't a judgement. They decided to pay that money out of the goodness of their heart... and to prevent spending even more money fighting the antis in court.

Their option was basically to pay the families X amount or spend Y amount in court proving their innocence. Y amount would have been vastly greater than X amount, trust me.

Ooops, you are right.

They never litigated. They did settle out of court. Nuisance suit if you ask me.
