BASRA, IRAQ: A British soldier secures an area in the Iraqi southern city of Basra 18 September 2004. British military sources said one British soldier was wounded during clashes against militants loyal to radical cleric Moqtada Sadr. The military sources said that fighting continued through the night and the early hours in the morning. Britain is considering whether to send "a few extra troops" to Iraq, The Times newspaper reported Saturday, a day after clashes in Basra which left one British soldier wounded.
