IBTL, You need a BOTD in the title!

I might not know as much as I think... But isn't M-24 the Army's version of the Rem. 700 sniper rifle there, and the Marine's call it something else? Like the M-40? Is there a difference other than time of adoption?

Nice to see some PASGT / 'Fritz' helmets worn the way they are supposed to be worn, instead of that US Army faux-'Operator' two-sizes-too-small nonsense.

Actually, the Marines are wearing the new Lightweight Helmet. The PASGT is on its way out. Its lighter, has a better suspention (not as good as the Armys ACH), provides more protection and is a little higher in the back. The Army issued a notice recently that many soldiers were wearing the ACH incorrectly (shell too small, riding too high on the head) and that soldiers may need to be resized for the correct one.

CHRIST with the PERSEC issues... let's not ONLY show the faces of the snipers that are whacking the insurgents at such a great rate, let's GIVE THEIR HOME TOWNS AND FULL NAMES as well...

WTF OVER

Not a rant at Lumpy... I'm ranting at the news agencies...

I'm glad Milwaukee is being 'represent!" and all that, but does the AP regularly print full names and home cities of our snipers? It's not the greatest idea.

Taiwan-made 65K2? I learned something today, didn't know they made such a contraption.

Two questions/comments:

1) Is that firearm actually made-in-Taiwan? At a US led gunshow? Sounds contradictory, but then again, I'm probably missing something on that...

2) Giving/selling weaponry to Taiwan.....I bet that'll poke China real hard in the rib cage. They're not going to like that. That be like China selling firearms and missles n' such to Mexico or Cuba. I'd steer clear of that deal....
