New Spiderman movie stars Jamie "the douche nugget" fox as Electro.
Anyone besides me just lose all interest in seeing it? I searched and didn't see anything about this yet. |
|
Not boycotting it, per se, but I probably won't bother seeing it in the theater (irrespective of Fox's involvement).
|

Didn't have any interest anyway. They don't continue the stories anymore with superhero movies(or any others). Make a couple sequels, leave the ending open for another sequel, reboot the series. At least close out the story instead of leaving room for another movie and quitting. Jamie being in the movie just makes me have even less interest.

How many times are they going to reboot Spider-Man? The first trilogy was good. Leave it alone.

(ETA: Alternately, as long as they make a lot of $$$. ) FWIW, I enjoyed the first entry of the current reboot as well as I liked any of the Toby M. versions, maybe more... and I enjoyed Toby's first one pretty well. |

I still say I could write a decent Punisher film during lunch that would better than any of the three they made, although the second one wasn't terrible Anyway Hollywood is full of liberal race baiting assholes. I'll probably rent this. |

I accidentally boycotted the last one. I doubt I'll miss this one.

You know what people should do?
Only go to see the movies of the actors (who are anti-gun) that they fire guns in. If they don't fire guns in the movies boycott it. |

His Electro is weak anyhow. The bolt mask made the costume.
What next, a Rhino with no horn? |

Quoted: I wasn't that crazy about this last one. I wish they would accept that we know Spider man/Superman/Batman's origin and make original films about them without rehashing origins over and over... View Quote Perhaps, but the last trilogy strayed very far fom the comic origins and this last one went back towards the comics in many ways... for that alone, it gets points in my book. |

The only thing the previous film had going for it was Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy.

Personally I don't know why any INTELLIGENT adult would pay money to go watch a farce of remake of a CHILD's comic book story anyway. But maybe the word "intelligent" explains it all!
But all in on the boycott of Jamie Fox! Ditto Sigourney Weaver and all the rest of the Hollywood busy bodies! |

I saw Thomas Jane's Punisher JUST to see John Travolta being dragged behind a car, on fire.
Depending on how badly Jamie Foxx eats it, I may apply the same reasoning here. |

I'm a forty-something with multiple graduate degrees (an "intelligent adult" as you said) and I was as giddy as any school boy watching The Avengers on the big screen. Not the least bit ashamed to admit it, either. YMMV. |

I won't put any of my money into Jamie Fox's pocket.
It certainly won't break him; but it won't break me to skip his films either and it's my money. |

I honestly lost interest in anything Spider-Man a long time ago. So honestly I could care less.

I've just lost interest in the Spiderman genre. I couldn't even bring myself to see the last reboot.

If it does, just won't get to use the word "intelligent" any more. What a crime that would be. |
