Uhhh, firearms have not yet personally reached quite THAT level of sexy for me yet, but I really like the Beretta NEOS and the Smith and Wesson 500.

If you can't get the job done with .45, . 05 more ain't going to make a difference. Especially when the launching platform costs $2500.

I actually find firearms design pretty stagnant.. not much to get excited about lately.

And you think its going to REMAIN that way?
If the cartridge WORKs then other people will adopt it and prices will fall

And that .05 in could make a BIG difference to a bullet designer trying to design a projectile that will expand reliably and penetrate- which are actually contradictory demands on a projectile.
