The Palm Pistol is an ergonomically innovative single shot double action only defensive firearm chambered in 9mm that may be fired using either hand without regard to orientation of the stock. It is suited for home defense, concealed carry or as a backup gun. It is also ideal for seniors, disabled or others who may have limited strength or manual dexterity. Using the thumb instead of the index finger for firing, it significantly reduces muzzle drift, one of the principle causes of inaccurate targeting. Point and shoot couldn’t be easier.

Interesting. From a NFA perspective, does anyone think this might fall into a AOW device category? Definitely an innovative design, but I think it might be a litte slow on the reloads.

Any other weapon. Any weapon or device capable of being concealed on the person from which a shot can be discharged through the energy of an explosive, a pistol or revolver having a barrel with a smooth bore designed or redesigned to fire a fixed shotgun shell, weapons with combination shotgun and rifle barrels 12 inches or more, less than 18 inches in length, from which only a single discharge can be made from either barrel without manual reloading, and shall include any such weapon which may be readily restored to fire. Such term shall not include a pistol or a revolver having a rifled bore, or rifled bores, or weapons designed, made, or intended to be fired from the shoulder and not capable of firing fixed ammunition.

Pistol. A weapon originally designed, made, and intended to fire a projectile (bullet) from one or more barrels when held in one hand, and having (a) a chamber(s) as an integral part(s) of, or permanently aligned with, the bore(s); and (b) a short stock designed to be gripped by one hand and at an angle to and extending below the line of the bore(s).

Might be a AOW, even if it has a rifled barrel.  They say it has ATF approval as a standard pistol, but ask owners of an Akins Accelerator how much that is worth.

For long-range, yes.
For some goblin up close and personal ("Yo, Holmes, gimme your wallet!"), better than strong words.

definitely an interesting design.

cons:
slow reloads (i'm guessing)
probably not possible to make anything resembling a precision shot beyond 5-6 yards

its made to be used in a retension position not for sniping baddies at 100 yards out.  Like others have said its better than harsh language

For some goblin up close and personal ("Yo, Holmes, gimme your wallet!") - a conventional pistol would solve the problem just fine.

Key Features
Uses thumb instead of index finger to fire
Optional Picatinny rail for accessorizing
Designed for LaserLyte Subcompact V2 laser sight
Integral 3-position combination lock
Loaded chamber indicator
Adjustable trigger pull

Easy breech access and loading

Contact safeties avoid accidental discharges

Discreet concealment

ATF classified as standard “pistol”

The combination lock and the single shot capacity make this a usless toy.
