I saw her on Austin City Limits a couple weekends ago, young blonde chick singing soul/R&B. She is REALLY good, had a total old school R&B backup band too. I went to her website and was blown away to find out she is 17 and from England of all places!!!

Anyone, she totally blows away any of these stupid Brittany Spears/Aguilara clones, and her backup band has GROOVE for a middle name!!!!

Not digging it.

She sings like her mouth is full of peanut butter.

Yeah, I heard her on the radio and looked her up on the net a while back.

Not the body you'd expect that voice to be coming out of.

You obviously not old enough to remember the 70's my man!!! Some of those artists are what today's "Diva's" aspire to!

I like her style of music more than Christina's radio pop, but she is not even in the same league with Aguilera as a vocalist. For a sample of Christina doing some bluesy stuff, check out the song "Walk Away."

She's good. I've been listening for over a year.

I've tuned in to Austin City Limits each week this season.
In my opinion, they've ruined the show. Joss Stone may be
one of the high points thus far. Beyond that, much of the
music has been unlistenable. I've been a regular viewer for
years but when they turned their back on country/roots/singer-
song writer type music and went contemporary-oddball they lost me.
Too bad.
Good god. They had one guy on a few weeks ago who had a crowd on
stage shining flashlights as part of the "performance art". As I recall, he
was waving a streamer.

Diggin' it, but then again AO and I seem to be the few under-40 folks that listen to Otis.

There really needs to be a Donald "Duck" Dunn avatar here...

No, definitely not digging her. I've seen her before on MTV and heard her on Internet radio. I think she

tries to put "soul" into her music by singing more "black" instead of putting more of her heart into the

music. If you want soulful music, listen to Norah Jones or one of the best vocalists around, Alison

Krauss.

I like her voice a lot. I think she is a reincarnated Billie Holliday.

I was listening to the tv while surfing here and had my back turned to the tv and thought she sounded like a middle-aged black woman.
