What firearms or goodies top your list of "must gets" for 2007?

Here are mine:

Smith and Wesson M&P .40

Smith & Wesson 1911

DPMS Tactical .308 rifle

Otherwise, I just hope to find as many good deals as possible on ammo and magazines. I'd like to keep stocking plenty of both, just in case. With dems in control and with the presidential race in 08 far from decided, one must make preparations for the possibility of future firearms bans or ammunition taxes.

I recently bought an M1A in the name of 2007.

I'm gonna buy an AR carbine of some type or another, and another .308 bolt gun.

Well, I have one main resolution and two dependent resolutions:

Main: get a part time job this semester.
Dependent 1: take a trip to Russia or the Ukraine in the spring or summer.
Dependent 2: If I have any money left over after that, get a Single-Action-Army replica.

So yeah, a gun, but only if I have the scratch.

I know I'll be buying something.   Just have to get the stupid idea to all of a sudden pop up to urgent action needed in my head.

I've been toying with getting an M-1 Carbine, or make try number 2 at a 1911, but not sure yet.

My resolutions:

- Make lots of money fast
- Finish novel
- Pray the first two are related
- Buy at least 2 more guns before 2008
- Get piss drunk on champagne as the New Year is ushered in
- Find attractive female who understands the appeal of .50 BMG

The at least 2 guns list would include a Mark 23 SOCOM and a Cx4 Storm.

A couple of pistols, a revolver and maybe a black rifle (or a Remington 700 SPS DM)

I'm thinking about getting a 9mm - probably a CZ-75 or a Beretta 92FS.
I might get a 1911 - I like those SA Operator and TRP models...
And I think I might get a S&W 686 revolver or something like it...

1. .22 pistol, probably a Buckmark. Add a threaded barrel for...
2. .22 silencer (my first one!)
3. AAC's new .45 silencer (hearing safe dry) for my USP Tactical
4. Microtech HALO III
5. HK45
6. FN SCAR if it comes out

- SIG 556, top priority
- 1911 of some sort, preferably the Colt WW1-era reproduction
- Vector arms AKM clone
- FNP 45 when it comes out
- M1 carbine from CMP (already have an Inland)
- LRB M1A if funds allow

Also,

- One of those Stg 44 clones that were being talked about in that thread (if they ever will exist)
- Concealed carry permit
- More focus on mags/ammo

Of course, I do this pretty much every year, and the results of every year are nearly always totally different than what I planned for. Oh well, time will tell.

This is the year that I will obtain my concealed carry permit and also obtain a nice midsized .45 for concealed carry.   Which one it will be is a question I haven't answered yet but
I'm attracted to the idea of building my own including all the gunsmithing of all the parts
as needed.

At this point the only thing I want that isn't NFA , is maybe
an FS-2000 .  As for the NFA stuff I'll have to move to a free state
which is also a good possibility in the next year . Since I sold my biz
last month and that was the only major thing keeping me in NY
