I likes some TS. I hope it doesn't cut into his Jesse Stone series though!

His characters have been loners as a rule.

The Vegas role was more like this new show.

'Jesse Stone' rocks!

Blue Bloods, he plays the NYPD Commissioner and his kids are either MYPD cops or NYC ADAs.  Looks gritty and looks like he justifies tactics like enhanced interrogation against terrorists.  Potentially very non-PC, I like!

I hope it is a success.   But I must confess that any time I see Tom Selleck, I see Thomas Magnum and I start looking around for Rick and T.C. and Higgins.  He was the perfect actor for the perfect role at the perfect time: i.e., Thomas Magnum, PI.  Same thing with Kelsey Grammer with his role as Frasier Crane.  Or Leonard Nimoy as Mr. Spock.

I also like his (Selleck's) Jesse Stone movies.
