They're cool, I played with one about 6 weeks ago, went through some 158gr subs and it was oh so quiet

It has the ability to accept a rail. Uses Glock sights, so night sights could be installed.

That and I'm not a huge fan of the barcode grip, but I still kinda want one....

I could always build my own

Even thought about basing it on an 80% (or from-scratch) Sig P320 modular frame so it could take the factory grip frames without destroying a factory gun.

HPA will pass, and it will become the norm

20 years from now, an unsupresssed pistol will be as dated as revolvers.

I don't know. The only thing keeping firearms relevant is miniature energy storage technology being where it is. Once that hurdle is crossed be prepared for man portable railguns, lasers, and other directed energy weapons.

SICO doesn't like the idea that SS allowed that dealers can set prices and customers can shop around for the best price by dealer.... and other larger vendors started protesting because there was no way their multi million dollar companies could compete to kitchen table vendors and SICO caved.

It's really sad, SS is a great store and SICO would have earned a lot of my money.

I wanted on really bad

MY LGS had demo a while back. Trigger was shit, rep said it was a prototype and very worn.

Production ones arrived at LGS. Triggers are even worse

I will hold off until I know that someone can fix that trigger.

If HPA ever passes they're going to sell the fuck out of those things.

The only glaring deficiency I see is no ability to mount a light which, for me, is a necessity for a bedside gun.

Look closer, keymod on the bottom.

It might be a little unwieldy after an adapter and a light are added, but it can be done.
Ideally someone comes out with a Maxim-9 specific low profile keymod direct mount light.

How in the world are you supposed to activate the light when mounted so much lower than the support hand? Momentary is going to be nearly impossible, and constant-on isn't the best choice for all situations. And then it is limited to a bed-side only configuration, because good luck finding any kind of holster to use that combo in the field.

I was thinking that with an MRD and an IR light it would make an excellent pistol for use with NOD. But I can't imagine how the ergonomics would work with something like an SF X300V mounted to the bottom.
